HEAVY DUTY SCREEN DOOR
The heavy duty screen door is our top of the range door and is a must for commercial and industrial applications. It can cope with frequent and heavy traffic so often found on such sites.
Each door screen has a broad central aluminium push plate and a similar plate at the base of the door to act as a kick plate. The mitred corners are held together with strong metal keys that are double riveted for extra strength.
Uniquely, the heavy duty screen door incorporates strong decorative aluminium lattice grills fitted in parallel with the top and lower mesh panels of the screen door. These grills help to prevent the screening mesh from being kicked or pushed out.
Hinges are of a durable white finished two-part metal construction with a removable chrome plated centre pin. This pin can be easily removed without tools to enable the standard screen door to be removed for cleaning. The door screen can also be removed for storage when not required (e.g. over the winter months).
The door can be fitted with a brush strip along its lower edge to provide a seal to prevent the ingress of insects and vermin below the door. A strong magnetic catch and metal handles are fitted as standard.
Door screens can be fitted over wooden, metal and uPVC doors. A sub-frame is sometimes fitted to avoid the screen door fouling the existing door furniture or in cases where the existing door frame is not wide enough to hang the screen door from. On sites where building regulations do not permit inward opening screen doors it may be necessary to fit alternative screening.
Our heavy duty screen door is fitted with charcoal coloured fibre-glass mesh as standard, however, a variety of mesh materials and weave sizes can be fitted to suit individual requirements.
The screen door is available in a white powder coat finish. The frame can be cleaned with a domestic cream cleaner as and when required. The mesh can be cleaned with light brushing, using liquid soap and water if necessary.
